Is Birdsmouth Beer a family friendly establishment?

Yes. Family is at the core of everything we stand for at Birdsmouth Beer. As parents ourselves, we’ve crafted an experience that adults and children can enjoy together, which includes fun and games, and a warm environment for all. However, the brewery’s primary function is for manufacturing. So, for the safety and enjoyment of all of our guests, children must be accompanied by an adult at all times. We have a selection of games and activities to choose from in our tasting room, and all outside games and equipment (e.g., soccer balls, footballs, any other sports related equipment, etc.) are prohibited.

Is Birdsmouth Beer pet friendly?

All friendly pets are welcome to our tasting room.

Does Birdsmouth Beer serve food in the tasting room?

Birdsmouth Beer does not serve food, but our guests are welcome to bring food in or order food to our tasting room. Our beer pairs well with food and we encourage our patrons to order from local restaurants in our area, many of which have left their menus in our tasting room.

What is a birdsmouth?

A birdsmouth is a woodworking joint that is generally used to bring two pieces of wood together, fortifying a structure in such a way that the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. In the same vein, Birdsmouth Beer aims to join family and friends together, creating an atmosphere that exceeds the sum of its constituent parts.

Why does Birdsmouth Beer only brew lagers?

Birdsmouth Beer is New Jersey’s all lager brewery. While we appreciate all beer and those who craft it, our passion is in the pursuit of perfecting the lager.

Can I bring Birdsmouth Beer home with me?

Yes. We are currently selling 6-packs and 12-packs out of our tasting room.

What’s the difference between a lager and an ale?

The main difference is the type of yeast used and the temperature the beers are fermented at. Lager yeast prefer a cooler fermentation. The resulting beer showcases the flavors of the ingredients used. Lagers are also cellared cold for an extended period of time to smooth and round out the beer’s flavor.
